Helpful City Resources for Riverfront Residents

This page provides convenient access to City of Detroit services, public agencies, elected representatives and neighborhood reporting resources.

City services are separate from Riverfront Condominium Association and AMP Residential management responsibilities. Residents should contact the organization responsible for the specific location or concern.

Property Taxes & NEZ Information

The City of Detroit Office of the Assessor handles property assessments, taxable values, Principal Residence Exemptions and Neighborhood Enterprise Zone tax abatements.

Some Riverfront units were previously issued Neighborhood Enterprise Zone (NEZ) certificates. These certificates have individual expiration dates, and certain types of NEZ certificates may not be eligible for extension. Owners who receive notice that their exemption is expiring, has been removed or has changed should contact the City directly to review their property’s status and available options.

  • Office of the Assessor: 313-224-3035
  • Detroit Taxpayer Service Center: 313-224-3560
  • Location: Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, 2 Woodward Avenue, Suite 130

Riverfront Residents: Property assessments, tax bills, NEZ eligibility and certificate expiration decisions are controlled by the City of Detroit and applicable taxing authorities. Riverfront Condominium Association and Management cannot determine eligibility, extend an exemption, change an assessment or provide individual tax advice.

  • Potholes
  • Illegal dumping
  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Damaged street signs
